I fear "Trump takes the strongest corporate titans, governors, and generals invincible on the battlefield, turns them into bootlickers, then kicks them out like an evil stepfather" totally reverses the power dynamic at work here. A group of evil, greedy, corrupt corporate titans et cetera recognize that Trump is an ignorant, incurious narcissist and say "This is great, we'll kiss up to this guy, praise him to the skies, and he'll be putty in our hands! We'll get our toxic agenda done and make ourselves rich while we're at it!" Instead, the man-baby turns out to be even more incompetent and incapable of following their directions than they ever bargained for, they humiliate themselves in public with nothing to show for it and flee while man-baby throws his toys around the crib in another tantrum.
ReplyDeleteWell, that, and he got elected by accident. I don't think he expected to win, nor did the various machines and operatives. Just like the Iraq War, there really wasn't a plan for What Happens After.
