Is what I called the damned thing. The public radio station I worked at had acquired it from somewhere, probably the federal surplus depot.
It did not have a display, but it did let you generate personalized form letters, using arcane formatting characters. If you screwed up, you had to start from the beginning.
I could only get it to run the merge function properly when I gave it a stern talk, and leaned a twelve pound sledge against it, as a threat against poor performance.
It was innovative, but complicated and unreliable enough that it was never highly prized.
