The lack of a categorical denial, from Amazon, that recordings of the stabbings might exist, is telling. Amazon states that Alexa-enabled devices only process and/or record ambient audio and speech when triggered by the activation word or phrase, but how reliable is that statement?

  1. I suppose the flip side is that should a robber invade your home, one could shout, "Alexa, record this intruder being shot . . . ." , and request the records for your defense. In Florida, anyway.
