Guiding Light
In the shop, not actually the garage.
The truth is that they don't want to escape any way but UP, and this presents a problem with a 10' ceiling and 6'8" doors.
I've done this trick before in other folk's garages, but never at night.
Eventually, the dingy bird was persuaded to light on the rake tines by extinguishing the high intensity overheads and artfully sidelighting the rake with a flashlight.
Yeesh.

I once had a hummer fly in the open back door of my house. My husband grabbed an envelope from a stack of mail and held it up high. That little bird flew over and perched on the edge of the envelope and he slowly walked her back outside. :))
ReplyDeleteI am probably too scary to hummers for that to work.
