A Class Act

Elsewhere, I said that McCain was a class act.

This is what I meant. He comported himself well, and wore his privilege easily.

I disagreed with nearly every policy decision he ever made, and some were scandalously awful and self-serving.

Politicians are frequently, often, dependably, Creatures of Focused Expediency, and not Good People, or Farsighted Leaders.

But he was loved by his family and his supporters, and often respected by his opponents. That ain't nothing.
