I haven't had boiled peanuts in ages. They always remind me of my Memaw.

ReplyDeleteWe have people boiling peanuts in propane fired pots and selling them roadside all year - they are also sold in the grocery stores. There's a peanut processing plant, and they are the only product still shipped out of town by rail. The partner of one of SWMBO's employees received his PhD in Agri from UF last year - studying peanuts. There is a peanut festival every October when 4X the town's population invade for a day. To hell with peanuts!
ReplyDeleteThey are SO good though!
