According to the account traditionally given of this story, Josephine Knight Dixon was sort of accident-prone, or at least unfamiliar with her new kitchen.     my g/kids need it for everything that gives them pain. The girl even put one under her nose because it was running and she was frustrated with it. the boy falls, as he does often, and needs his knees covered so he'll stop crying.
