Her father Clyde Haberman is a reporter I've admired for decades, so I remember Maggie from when she was just starting out in the same profession and it's a real trip to see her become nationally famous. That this fame comes from covering Trump only makes it trippier and more surreal.
ReplyDeleteIt's also very interesting that for all Trump's abundant sexism and constant objectification of women, he seems to be chastened by Haberman and is always on his best behavior with her so far as we know. I don't know what got through to him that she's not someone to mess with, but that any woman receives such deference from Trump is astounding.
