This seems appropriate today. I am often troubled by the direction politics take, but the answer is never violence. I know this is a stretch, but one worth making. We talk flippantly about being part of a diverse American family, but the family has to include the brothers and sisters with whom we disagree over Thanksgiving dinner or all our talk of being inclusive is meaningless.
