Cutting edge ENG audio mixer from the 80s... From the case damage, it might have been used as a news van chock block. But it still works, and only cost $20.
Are you sure it's not older? A friend of mine in high school (c. 1980) had something like that in his bedroom powered through a 12/120V AC/DC inverter. We had two mikes and a guitar going through it to a single amp. $20 is a steal even if you just use it as a doorstop.
I'm pretty sure this was brand spanking new in the mid to late 80s. They had a cute FM modulated talent foldback gizmo that was an extra. Before that, seemed like we used Shure M67/68s.
HALO Effect Originally shared by Noah Friedman This is how automation is probably going to kill us all: tell a computer to optimize for something and it will. (This observation is just a variation on the nanotech grey goo problem.)
The Service Economy I've also been there, done that, only with much less fear for my life. via Meep https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5c0ea571e4b06484c9fd4c21?ec_carp
