From Bitter To Better
From Bitter To Better
If you've lived in the South, you've seen this awful seesaw act before.
That's not to diminish the awfulness of it. But, the struggle isn't new, either, as it seems to be in some other places.
In every case, progress has slowly gathered up supporters from the other side, some by conversion, others by wary pragmatism. I think a lot of things are better than they used to be, not as good as they need to be.
And my fight to make things better isn't about fear, except in abolishing it.
Because most worst things come from fear, and most best things from understanding and love.
