The Romance Of Root Beer
The Romance Of Root Beer
Much as it pains me, I have to admit that there is one thing that Yankees do better than Southerners. Root Beer. There. I said it.
I hear tell that Grant and Gail Simons have been selling Root Beer in their 1937 one and half ton Ford Truck for almost fifty years now.
Grant and Gail Simons hail from upper New York State, but like a lot of Yankees, they moved to warmer climes, which is where I first met them, at the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh, sometime in the 1980's.
They're good people, selling a great product with style, Richardson Root Beer, made in Rochester. I never miss a chance to see them.
