I can't believe I read the whole article! Haha. Just a fascinating look into the last wild peoples. It is sad the natives are losing their habitat and slowly emerging from the jungle to get food, etc. It seems like a no win situation with the gold miners/illegal loggers and tourists encroaching ever closer and destroying everything in their wake. I guess no one is safe from progress anymore, even those in the middle of the far away jungle.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe earlier invaders boiled people for oil to grease their metal and guns. Gah!
Now I'm reading all about Ishi!
