Garry Trudeau (born 21 July 1948, USA) is the creator of the Doonesbury comic strip, which features strong political and social commentary by its broad cast of characters. In 1975, he became the first comic strip artist to win a Pulitzer Prize, traditionally awarded to editorial-page cartoonists. He was also a Pulitzer finalist in 1990.
