  1. Historical context is important. The origins and declared aims of the EU are not the reality as observed by many people. The bureaucracy often appears intrusive and interfering in daily life; inefficient and inept in desired purpose and ability.

    The economic geography of the continent, and the world, seems to be ignored in many discussions of the British situation - very isolationist thought; but easier to explain or (make) believe. Much easier to play the blame game, for those inclined . . . .
