APFS

Apparently they looked at ZFS and decided it wouldn't suit.

They have apparently optimized for encryption, NAND flash, and reducing the BBOD, but are not very worried about data integrity (because Apple NAND flash is magically good).

Will probably be fine on all the iDevices. A little worrisome for desktops, methinks...

  3. Drew McCarthy ... had to look that one up. They lost me so many years ago that errors still had no text but a helpful bowling-ball-with-a-fuse image instead.

  4. Heh. "It Got Better." Mostly. And, as one would expect, it plays most nicely with other iDevices.
