All Is Lost

All Is Lost

I've watched this several times, now.

If you're a sailor, it won't take you very long to make a list of all the mistakes the protagonist makes. They aren't subtle.

But folks make bad decisions at sea All The Time.

This movie does a pretty damn good job of showing you how it feels to be in the middle of all that, bad decisions and all.

What it looks like, what it sounds like. I still grimace at the stoopid, and the unlikely, and the "no, it doesn't work like that."

But the feelings? Oh, yes. I get those feelings. Been there, done that.

Always happy to get back home. Before I go out, again.
