I just stumbled upon this deal today. I already have Scrivener and love it so I highly recommend it to any writer. It is quite a robust piece of software and actually does far more than I need it to but I keep learning new tricks as I use it to make writing faster and easier.

It also helps me collect thoughts and ideas that I want to save for later, as well as craft character or location profiles. It can output a file in a variety of formats and I used it to create a Word file for my editor to work on.

Rather than me blabbing about it though, check out their website for more details. I'm probably not even doing a sufficient job describing it. Note that I'm *not affiliated with Scrivener or BoingBoing in any way. I just thought this was a good deal for a struggling writer who wants to up their game:
