Biscuit Eater

Biscuit Eater
Another way of saying a no count, low life, egg sucking dog that won't hunt.
Some might interpret it as opprobrium. I call it a signal honor.
I love me some biscuits.

The 1972 film version led to a long-running family joke in our household, in which we would say to our dog "you no-good, low-down, egg-sucking biscuit eater!" and he would wag his tail looking cheerful, which we would interpret to mean "Biscuits! Yes! I like biscuits! Biscuits now?"
ReplyDeleteUh huh. Just one of the many ways in which I am a sorry excuse for a hunting dog, and a marginal excuse for a hooman. It is never a bad day to eat a biscuit.
ReplyDeleteHe wrote a good novel about a dog: Good Bye, My Lady ; also made into a film.
