Observing our difficulties from afar, the Committee Boat queried us on the VHF after the races were done.

"Did you break a halyard?"

The skipper replied, "No. It was... Indescribable."

I had fun on the foredeck yesterday, for values of fun that include pinching, poking, buffetting, bruising, and bleeding.

Hot Indian food, Jamaican rum, and anti-inflammatory drugs were liberally applied.

Now it is 43 degrees and raining.

Once more, into the breach. Whee.
