As I've said elsewhere, I think you have to expect some of that when you have a powerful position with few to no formal requirements for eligibility or performance, and life tenure.
I'll agree that dragging their corpse around the public square is an unseemly spectacle. But saying I won't miss them, or I'm glad they're gone, amongst my peers, seems quite suitable. That this is tied to their death seems more of their choosing than mine.
I also could not resist the dig at Thomas, whom I do not wish dead, but wish he would retire, especially since he can't seem to muster whatever it takes to ask his own questions from the bench (for almost ten years).
I'm not a fan of either party, one isn't going to help, and the other says they will but doesn't. If a conservative comedian posted similar, she'd be dragged out by the media. Just sayin
HALO Effect Originally shared by Noah Friedman This is how automation is probably going to kill us all: tell a computer to optimize for something and it will. (This observation is just a variation on the nanotech grey goo problem.)

That was unnecessarily mean of Mrs. Bowers. I'm not glad that Scalia is dead -- I'm just glad he's no longer on the Supreme Court.
ReplyDeleteAndrea Monticue she just wants attention for her "comedy" act
