  2. Oh wow - this brought back memories! We lived in Japan when I was in grade school, and our maid taught me how to make these (and all kinds of other origami figures). I should take it up again and see what my fingers remember...

  3. (Typing the phrase "our maid" felt really weird, btw. Every officer's family back then had a live-in maid to help with child-care and cleaning. Ahhh, the 1950s...)
