ReplyDeleteNope. But biker culture has a way of embracing transgressive symbols sometimes, doesn't it? Like Nazi helmets... This crew also named one of their bikes after Nathan Bedford Forrest...

ReplyDeleteWell, like a lot of things in Southern history, it's complicated. There are things you could laud NBF for, and things you could excoriate him for. Some folks tend to forget that George Washington himself was a slave owner.
