    Well, they aren't exactly taking it apart - Google Photos will be integrated into G+. I'm not change-averse, but I am concerned about the loss of the ability to comment on individual photos (you can still comment on photo posts). That's going to play holy hell with a lot of the group photo projects, collaborations and mentorships that have sprung up in G+. :-(

    Addendum: It looks as if things may be OK within G+, at least according to tests by some friends. It'll be ... different ... in the stand-alone Goolbe Photos App, which is evidently an attempt to broaden their reach outside G+.
