Precursor Michael Lang: "Miami Pop was my first Festival and made a profound impression on me about the power of music to bring people together. Ric O'Barry and I came up with the Idea sitting around my Kitchen table in Coconut Grove. It was a 2 day affair and the first day was Magic. The second day was rained out.
